Fuel your first love in 2025

What is a priority in the life of St Luke's Church Thurnby in 2025? Fuelling our first love.

In the life of a church like St Luke's where things are busy, we seek to be true to the Bible, and where we try to be bold in our witness to Jesus there is a danger. The danger the church in Ephesus faced in Revelation 2:4 where Jesus said:

"Yet I hold this against you: you have forsaken the love you had at first."

How do you fuel your first love in 2025? Know that you are loved. God loves you more than you can imagine and he really wants you to know it.

Paul prayed for the church in Ephesus to:

"to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ and to know this love that surpasses knowledge"

Ephesians 3:18-19

Why not begin each day in 2025 asking the Holy Spirit to strengthen you with power that together with all of God's people you might know how loved by God you are in Jesus. And let this fuel your first love, your love for God and your love for others.
